What is PeliCON?

Come Play With Us

PeliCON is a tabletop gaming convention created to bring together every corner of the gaming community. Board games, war games, role-playing games, collectible card games, social deduction games, and more all have a place at our tables.

Founded by five passionate gamers, PeliCON grew from a shared love of games and the community that surrounds them. Our goal is simple: create a welcoming place where people can play their favorite games, discover something new, compete, learn, and make new friends.

Whether you're an experienced gamer or sitting down at the table for the first time, PeliCON is a place to discover new games, meet new people, and spend two days enjoying the hobby with fellow gamers.

What You'll Find at PeliCON

Board Games

From modern strategy games and party games to longtime favorites, board gaming is at the heart of PeliCON. Bring your own games, join a scheduled event, borrow something from our game library, or find a table and meet some new people to play with.

War Games & Miniatures

Command armies, roll dice, and test your strategy across miniature battlefields. PeliCON welcomes war gamers for organized events, tournaments, demonstrations, and casual play.

Role-Playing Games

Step into another world with scheduled role-playing sessions led by Game Masters from across the gaming community. Whether you're an experienced adventurer or have never played an RPG before, there are opportunities to join the story.

Collectible & Trading Card Games

Bring your deck and join the action. PeliCON features opportunities for both organized and casual card gaming, giving experienced players and newcomers a place to play.

Social Deduction Games

Bluff, scheme, accuse, defend, and try to figure out who you can trust. Social deduction games bring some of the largest and liveliest groups together at PeliCON.

Learn, Play & Discover

New to Tabletop Gaming?

You're welcome here. You don't need to be an experienced gamer to enjoy PeliCON. Many games and events are friendly to new players, and you'll find people throughout the convention who are happy to teach.

Game Library

Looking for something to play? PeliCON's game library features a wide variety of tabletop games available to play throughout the convention. Our collection includes games from our own shelves, games generously donated to PeliCON, and games provided by the Rosenberg Library.

The Rosenberg Library has been part of PeliCON's game library since our very first convention. Each year, Dustin from the Rosenberg Library brings the library's board game collection for our attendees to enjoy and works tirelessly throughout the convention helping make the game library a success.

We are incredibly grateful to Dustin and the Rosenberg Library for their continued support of PeliCON and for helping us give our attendees an ever-growing selection of games to discover, learn, and enjoy.

Play to Win

Our Play to Win library gives you the chance to try selected games and possibly take one home. Everyone who plays a participating game is entered into a drawing for that game. You don't have to win the game to have a chance to win the copy!

Game Demos

Meet publishers, designers, vendors, and fellow gamers while learning games directly from people who know them. Game demos are a great way to discover something you may never have played before.

Tournaments & Organized Play

Looking for competition? PeliCON hosts organized events and tournaments across several areas of tabletop gaming. Whether you're playing for prizes, bragging rights, or simply the challenge, there are opportunities to put your skills to the test.

Shop, Explore & Meet the Gaming Community

Take a break from the tables and explore our vendor area. PeliCON brings together game stores, publishers, independent designers, artists, creators, and other members of the tabletop gaming community.

It's a chance to discover new games, find gaming accessories, meet the people behind independent projects, and support the businesses and creators who help make our hobby possible.

Good Games Need Good Food

You don't have to leave the convention when it's time to eat. Two of our favorite food trucks are returning for PeliCON: Foreign Policy and Beers Rolling Smoke BBQ.

Grab something to eat, recharge, and get back to the tables.

Giving Back to Our Community

PeliCON is about more than games. With the generosity of our attendees, sponsors, founders, and community partners, we're proud to use the convention as an opportunity to support organizations doing important work in our community.

From our founders' $2,000 donation following PeliCON 2025 to the $3,440 raised for the Galveston County Food Bank following PeliCON 2026, giving back has become an important part of what PeliCON represents.
